Directions: Please review the 2025 Neighborhood Beautification Grant Guidelines before starting this application. You can access the guidelines HERE. After reading the guidelines, complete this online application in its entirety. Please submit any questions to NBG@waynemetro.org.

Note: District 4 applicants may be eligible for funding through the Stellantis Neighborhood Impact Fund. If you would also like to apply for the Neighborhood Beautification Grant (NBG), you must submit two separate applications—one for each program.

Contact Information

To be eligible for funding the applicant organization MUST be either:
  • A City Registered Block Club or Neighborhood Association incorporated as either an LLC (in partnership with a 501c(3), or 501c(3) -OR-
  • A Non-profit Organization or Faith Based organization with a documented partnership with a City Registered Block Club or Neighborhood Association.

Legal Status 



You are not be eligible for funding if you are not either a 501c(3), LLC or have identified a tax exempt fiscal sponsor.  If you have any questions about this requirement please visit here for more information

A Faith-Based organization or Non-Profit Organization must be working in documented partnership with a Block Club or Neighborhood Association within a 1 mile radius of their address, to be eligible for this grant funding.

Please note: If your project involves a partnership with a Block Club, you must upload a Block Club Partnership Letter.




Fiduciary Organization Information








Project Type and Site Control

To be eligible for funding, the applicant organization must either own the lots on which the proposed project will take place OR have received notice from the DLBA that the lots intended for clean up are available to be leased.

Projects conducted on lots owned by INDIVIDUALS are NOT ELIGIBLE FOR FUNDING.






Please be advised that you must have the deed submitted by November 27, 2025 to qualify for funding. 
Before you apply for grant funding, you must check that the lots you intend to clean up are available for leasing from the DLBA . Click here for more information on the Lot Licensing Program.
If your Organization neither owns lots nor has approval from the DLBA to lease lots, your project will not be considered for funding. Click here for more information.
Your Organization must own all of the lots on which the project take place or the project will not be considered for funding.

Section 6: Project Budget


Directions: Please provide a budget for your proposed project. Include the dollar amount and a brief explanation of what you will purchase under "Budget Item Description". You are required to attached quotes or invoices that correlate to the budget line items. You may also attach additional narrative as needed. Allowable and disallowable costs are listed below.
Common Allowable Costs:
  • Project materials and supplies
  • Project Related Administrative Expenses (not to exceed 15% of allocation)
  • General Liability Insurance
  • Equipment rental fees
  • Project related consultant or contractor fees
Disallowable Costs:

Funds CANNOT be used on the following items/costs:
  • Community Programming
  • Construction related activities, including but not limited to: hoop houses, sheds, pavilions
  • and/or house or structure rehabilitation or improvement
  • Street/alley activations
  • Water features or water catchment systems, including rain barrel installation and irrigation
  • systems
  • Any project that required cement slabs to be poured (cement footers for fencing, signposts, or seating area case-by-case basis)
  • Staff payroll, stipends or scholarships
  • Land acquisition or real estate purchases
  • Projects that do not comply with city ordinances
  • Gift cards
  • Reimbursement to cover costs associated with events or activities that have occurred outside of the Grant Term
  • Any costs not directly related to the funds requested in the proposal

Note for District 4 Applicants applying for Stellantis Neighborhood Impact Fund: Please use this budget area to reflect the budget you are submitting for the Stellantis Neighborhood Impact Fund. Ensure you are following the guidelines linked HERE.
