Financial Sponsorships are monetary donations that support community events and small-scale projects in Wayne County that benefit low-income individuals and families. These sponsorships are designed to assist emerging organizations, networks, or established community partners of Wayne Metro in hosting or carrying out community-based activities.
Projects must align with Wayne Metro’s mission to eliminate poverty by empowering people and communities to be strong, healthy, and thriving.
In some cases, Wayne Metro may also purchase advertising space in community-based publications or at events.

Application Timeline Requirements
- Please submit applications for events occurring 30 to 60 days from the date of your funding request.
- Applications submitted outside of this timeframe will not be accepted.
- Once applications have been vetted and approved, funds may take 30–45 days to be disbursed.
Budget Requirement
- Applicants must acknowledge that their organization’s annual operating budget is under $750,000.
