Thank you for your interest in a Financial Sponsorship from Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency!

Financial Sponsorships are monetary donations that support community events and small-scale projects in Wayne County that benefit low-income individuals and families. These sponsorships are designed to assist emerging organizations, networks, or established community partners of Wayne Metro in hosting or carrying out community-based activities.

Projects must align with Wayne Metro’s mission to eliminate poverty by empowering people and communities to be strong, healthy, and thriving.

In some cases, Wayne Metro may also purchase advertising space in community-based publications or at events.

Application Timeline Requirements
  • Please submit applications for events occurring 30 to 60 days from the date of your funding request.
  • Applications submitted outside of this timeframe will not be accepted.
  • Once applications have been vetted and approved, funds may take 30–45 days to be disbursed.
Budget Requirement
  • Applicants must acknowledge that their organization’s annual operating budget is under $750,000.

 Guidelines Upon Approval
I understand that if my organization is awarded funding, we will make best attempts to do the following: 

1. Add the Wayne Metro logo to the event flyer for the event being sponsored.

2. A representative of the organization will attend 1 Regional Advisory Council (RAC) Meeting by December 2026. Find more information about RACs by clicking here. Participation in the bi-monthly RAC meetings will provide your organization with opportunities to engage with like-minded partners and pursue additional resources, funding, and advocacy for your event

3. If awarded, the organization will be highly encouraged to complete an Acknowledgement Form within 14 days after the event. The report form will capture your success from the event. If awarded, Wayne Metro will provide this form to you through an award letter.
